To completely diss a movie due to some social problems regarding the movie is absurd according to me. You are disrespecting the audiences by saying that after watching the movie, this film is going to produce many Kabir Singhs. Also stating the main reason for success of the movie as the regressive nature of the main character and majority of Indian men are just like him, is disrespect for all the positive aspects of the movie including the amazing performances by the actors, the music, the background score etc. How can you forget the point where he confesses all his mistakes? Nobody bashed Alia Bhatt for playing a character which hits another woman with a glass bottle, even when the other character was unaware of the situation. Nobody brought up this topic of coming out clean according to the social norms when Sanju was presented as hero even after loving every drug that existed and sleeping with more than 300 women. How can you expect a character from a movie to be perfect? What's the point of telling a story by an artwork if you are showing just the good aspects of the characters without showing the other side? There was a movie released called PM Narendra Modi in which only the positive aspects from the main character's life were shown, and the movie turned out to be trash, not saying anything bad about our honorable Prime minister, it's just the movie which was horrible. This does not mean that I support every aspect of Kabir Singh. I totally disagree with the director of the movie saying that you are not in a true relationship if you can't slap each other. My point of this blog is to show if a movie has bad aspects, it's good to mention those points but without mentioning the positive aspects of the film it's totally disrespectful for the audience that look for critics' reviews. Thank you for reading this post. Hope you like it. Also if you think I missed out on something or for any suggestions, feel free to comment down below, I'll try to cover it up in the next edit or the next blog.
